Main characters: Maria, the Captain, the Baroness, Uncle Max, and of course: the kids
Genre: Family, life, classic  
Primary actors: Julie Andrews
Length: About three hours!
Based on: I believe there's a book by the actual Maria Von Trapp, based on their real life. But the story there is much different.
Time period: 1940's
Exciting events: Being chased by Nazis...!

    I agree!! We got the sound track and used to listen to it all the time. We even learned the parts ... though we were *NOT* as good as they were ...
