And the Shofar Blew

Author: Francine Rivers
Genre: Unknown!
My rating on a 1-10 scale: 8.5
Type: Fiction
Number of pages: 440 or so
Time period: Present
My overall opinion: An incredibly moving book. As it begins, a young pastor is called to a dying church. He, unfortunately, thinks he knows everything. The story continues as the church moves farther and farther from what a church should be, concentrating on attendance, offering, and outward appearance. It’s a sad (and eye-opening) book, and one that I think is sure to touch your heart. Spans over about 20 years! I definitely recommend it.
