All-of-a-Kind Family

Author: Sydney Taylor

Genre: Family

Series: Apparently there are several sequels to the book, but I haven’t read them

My rating on a 1-10 scale: 8.5

Type: Fiction

Number of pages: 189 (a quick and easy read)

Time period: Early 1900s, I’d guess

My overall opinion: This book was a quaint and delightful peek into turn-of-the-century life in a Jewish family. They have five girls, and no boys, so our family (four girls and one boy) especially enjoyed it. The story is easy and gentle-moving, but at the same interesting and quick – that is, it goes along smoothly and easily in day-to-day life, but it isn’t boring or “slow.” A fun book!
