My rating on a 1-10 scale: 8.5

My overall opinion: Another fun book! I was hoping there would be. :) This one was set in 1903 around Einstein and his mysterious daughter and wife. This one has even more new and exciting elements than any of its predecessors! There’s some awesome time travel in this one. Definitely I recommend it!

Torn

Author: Margaret Peterson Haddix

Genre: Adventure, science fiction

Series: The Missing

Number in series: 4th

My rating on a 1-10 scale: 8 high

Type: Fiction

Number of pages: 344

Time period: 1600s

My overall opinion: The setting for this book really didn’t grab me as much as the previous ones did. It was with Henry Hudson in James Bay in 1611. Again, a long and informative author’s note.

Sabotaged

Author: Margaret Peterson Haddix

Genre: Adventure

Series: The Missing

Number in series: 3rd

My rating on a 1-10 scale: 8.5 (high)

Type: Fiction – kinda historical fiction, sort of…

Number of pages: 360

Time period: 1600s

My overall opinion: I couldn’t put it down! This one was centered on Virginia Dare (the first “English” child to be born on US soil) of Roanoke Colony. It was riveting! The author’s note was again well-researched and informative, yet interesting. Great series for picking up a little history while following an action-packed adventure!

Author: Margaret Peterson Haddix

Genre: Fantasy, science fiction

Series: The Missing

Number in series: 2nd

My rating on a 1-10 scale: 8.5

Type: Fiction

Number of pages: 313

Time period: 1400s (1483, to be exact)

My overall opinion: Wow. There are endless possibilities for this series. See, it’s all these children who died or disappeared…but time travelers from the future went back and rescued them. Now, those time travelers have figured out that that was a bad idea and are returning the kids to the centuries and exact times from which they were plucked to “fix time.” But of course, it’s not as “simple” as it sounds. There are over 30 kids in all, so see what I meant about endless possibilities? Anyway, this particular book is about some kids who are returned to 1483. It turns out that the two who were supposed to go back (two went by accident) are Edward V and his brother Richard as kids – in history, they just disappeared. Naturally, it makes for a riveting historical fiction almost type of book. Definitely recommending this series so far!
