I Was Awarded the Helpful Blogger Award!

I was awarded the Helpful Blogger Award by Miss Elizabeth from Elegance of Fashion! Many thanks, Miss Elizabeth. On a side note to the rest of you...I definitely consider Miss Elizabeth herself to be a hugely helpful blogger, since she's read this blog from the start (leaving encouraging comments), helped me with blog buttons for special events, made my favicon (love it!), and given me leave to post her Banners. :)
Here are the three rules:

Again, I highly recommend Elegance of Fashion! I've read it for over a year, and it's long been a favorite blog. Check it out!



 

Three helpful things I've done...that's hard. Especially since it seems it might come out braggy...listen, I'm just doing it because it's required, okay? :)

1. I have gotten the word out about numerous authors. That includes reading, reviewing, and interviewing them! And coordinating giveaways (more work than it sounds).

2. I have done my best to recommend books honestly to the followers and readers of this blog.

3. I have run out of helpful things that I've done. Not good. Let me keep thinking... I have guest posted for several people -- most recently, Katelyn from Katelyn's Busy World. Bother, several of the bloggers I'd love to nominate have already received, namely Miss Elizabeth (see links to Elegance of Fashion above), Miss Laurie (Old-Fashioned Charm), and Melody (Regency Delight ~ Jane Austen Etc).

However...there are still some others, mostly book bloggers. :)

1. Katie McCurdy (Legacy of a Writer). I implicitly trust Katy's reviews -- and she's recommended some great books to me. :) Not to mention that she's the one who hooked me up with a number of publishers and authors, who need reviewers!

2. Larkin (Libri). An amazing, and inspiring, real life friend. I love her posts!

3. Melanie (Christian Bookshelf Reviews). Like Katy (above), she has giveaways, posts reviews, and generally is a wonderful source of book recommendations. :)

Awards!

Yes, I am finally getting around to posting the awards that several bloggers have been so sweet as to give me! This first one is from four gals: Katy, Ella, Miss Elizabeth, and Melody. Thanks, ladies! I am honored.

I'm going to copy Melody, who combined all the awards into one post and did what they said. Basically, post seven random things about you, and then award 10-15 bloggers! First, seven random things.

#1 – I’m not a huge fan of political or legal suspense books, but I’ve read several. And some I did love. J

#2 – I am very comfortable up front, at least, when teaching a Good News or 5-Day Club for kids.

#3 – It’s a problem of mine that I enjoy organizing other people’s lives. I enjoy it, others don’t always.

#4 – I LOVE CHINESE FOOD. American Chinese, that is.

#5 – Speaking of food…I could survive on dark chocolate and Doritos. And bacon.

#6 – I read approximately a book per day, but they don’t all get reviewed on here.

#7 – Movie guides are one of my favorite types of book to read, provided they’re for movies I’ve seen.

One Lovely Blog Award!

Yes, another blog award going around already! And I have been awarded twice! Thank you SO much, Jemimah and Abby! Most of you have heard me mention Jemimah's blog, Beautiful Blank Pages, quite recently. Remember, I did three guest posts there. Liebster Award

Yes, I was awarded the Liebster Award! Naturally, I had to look it up and see what "liebster" means. It's German, and means "dearest." So therefore, I'd better give it to my favorite blogs! Unfortunately, I'm limited to five, so if your blog isn't listed, it doesn't mean I don't like it...it just means I'm WAY TOO LIMITED. Got it? Then let's go.

I was awarded twice, actually! The Leibster Award was first given to me by Katy (or Katie) from Legacy of a Writer. I Am Awarded!

I received this award a while ago but forgot to post about it. It is the Stylish Blogger Award! Thanks, Kait and Katy. :) Since I have received this award before, I have already posted about it. So click here to see my old post about it. :) And while you're clicking, go here to see where I was awarded. Book Ponderings is one of my favorite blogs. They have great book reviews, and monthly book giveaways! I love giveaways. :) So again, thanks girls!

I'm sorry I'm late posting about it. :P And the picture won't come through....my computer has problems. Okay, I have an idea. First of all, all the blogs I awarded before are awarded again. I still love reading all of you! But I think that I will try to come up with seven new things about me. Here goes!

1. I love chocolate, especially dark chocolate. 70% is my favorite. :) Though I do like just plain chocolate chips too. ;)
2. My favorite colors are patriotic. Anything red-white-and-blue is sure to be something I like. In fact, my room (and my photography blog) is decorated in those very colors. Now I'm curious...what are your favorite colors?
3. I have recently re-discovered the author, Stephanie Grace Whitson. She's absolutely great! Make sure you check out my reviews of her books by clicking her name on the left. :)
4. I also am really loving  books by Lori Wick.
5. I am fascinated by the Holocaust, especially the concentration and death camps. It's very sad. VERY. But also interesting. The Triangle Fire is also something the I find riveting and sad.
6. Facts. I'm fond of facts. Especially ones about weird things. Like that lemons have more sugar in them than strawberries. I love food facts and world records. :)
7. And finally...hmmmm. Let's do something food related. I love meat. :) Especially Italian sausage on pizza, little smokies and bacon for breakfast, and chicken in macaroni and cheese. And just about all other meats...but not seafood. I abhor seafood.
