Livvie's Song

Author: Sharlene MacLaren
Genre: Romance, life
Series: River of Hope series
Number in series: 1st
My rating on a 1-10 scale: 9.5
Type: Fiction
Number of pages: 375
Time period: 1920's
Main characters: Livvie, Will
Exciting events: Many!
My overall opinion: Firstly, I was sent this advance copy of Livvie's Song for free. The publisher does not require me to review it postiviely, or even review it! But since I review most of the books I read, this one was definitely on the list, especially since I absolutely loved it! It was a really fun and special story. Also sweet, gently romantic, and very stirring. I'm hoping to be able to interview Sharlene MacLaren soon, here on Austenitis.

You get the idea. They were... weird. But good. Some I enjoyed, some not. Overall, recommended, but not a must-read.

PLEASE PRAY!!!!

Some of you may be familiar with an online friend of mine, Bria Crawford. Probably most of you have also heard about the tornadoes currently happening in the south-east. Well, Bria lives down there and her and her family's home was destructed by the tornado. Several other families were also impacted, losing homes. One family lost their dad. So please pray. Pray hard. They need it now. Also, for more details, you can go here. Thank you for praying!!

The Official Movie Guide for Lord of the Rings

Author: Brian Sibley
Genre: movie companion
My rating on a 1-10 scale: 8
Type: Guide to movie

Movie: The Lord of the Rings trilogy

Movie based on: The Lord of the Rings trilogy by J. R. R. Tolkien
Number of pages: 118
My overall opinion: I was disappointed, I admit. I had been hoping for a book similar to my Narnia guides (which I LOVE), but it wasn't. There were some really nice pictures, and I recommend that die-hard LotR fans read it, but it wasn't what I had hoped for. Oh well. I would still like to read other guides for LotR.
