Author: Jill Eileen Smith
Genre: Life, sort of romance

Time period: Bible times
My overall opinion: Awesome book! The only other book I’ve read to date by Jill Eileen Smith is Sarai, and I liked that one too…I can’t wait to read Michal and Abigail in this series! I had previously avoided this book a bit because the story of Bathsheba and David isn’t exactly known for it’s purity. To my way of thinking, an author would have a hard time writing a Biblical fiction without going into that! However, I was delighted to find that it was all well handled. Even though their immorality can’t be avoided, it wasn’t described in detail, and both David and Bathsheba obviously repent afterwards. So far as I could tell, it was accurate Biblically. Of course, Jill added information, but she kept the Biblical facts – always good. Overall, if you like Biblical fiction, you will probably enjoy this!

Very pretty cover. Yes, that would be a hard book to write.
