Movie: Hunt for Red October

My rating on a 1-10 scale: 9

Main characters: Ramius, Ryan, Mancuso

Genre: Adventure, totally. :)

Primary actors: Sean Connery, Alec Baldwin, Scott Glenn

Length: Slightly over two hours

Based on: The Hunt for Red October by Tom Clancy

Time period: 1980's

Exciting events: Absolutely packed with them! It's something of a boy film. :)

Quote(s): "...be careful what you shoot at. Most things in here don't react to well to bullets."

Year it came out: 1990

My overall opinion: It was really a fun film. I should mention that there's some profanity, and it's a pretty exciting movie. An extremely tense submarine chase. :) I love it.

Beyond the Cross and the Switchblade

Author: David Wilkerson

Genre: Conversion, missions, life, evangelism

Series: It is the sequel to The Cross and the Switchblade, and it should be read after that. So I guess it might be the Cross and the Switchblade series...

My rating on a 1-10 scale: 9

Type: Non-fiction

Number of pages: 191

Time period: 1970's

Main characters: David

Exciting events: Gang life

My overall opinion: It was an excellent follow-up to The Cross and the Switchblade. This one had a long chapter/letter about End Times that was intriguing. And also some good marital advice...though obviously that's a bit pre-mature for me. :P If you've read and enjoyed the first book, you'll like this one too!
