Inheritance

Author: Christopher Paolini
Genre: Fantasy, adventure
Series: The Inheritance Cycle
Number in series: 4th
My rating on a 1-10 scale: 8.5
Type: Fiction
Number of pages: 849
Time period: Fantasy
My overall opinion: I enjoyed it quite a bit. I thought that the first ¼ or so was a bit … chunky? Elementary? Something about the style bothered me – not sure what. BUT this may well be due simply to the different style of the book that I was reading right before starting Inheritance, or to the mood I was in that day. The rest of the book didn’t bother me at all. I enjoyed it all immensely! I don’t want to give any of it away…but for those of you who have a copy handy, I loved the passages between pages 553 and 568. Way. Too. Cool. J And the battles were wonderful too! A good ending to the series. I can’t wait to see what Paolini comes out with next!

Eragon

Author: Christopher Paolini
Genre: Fantasy, adventure
Series: The Inheritance
Number in series: 1st
My rating on a 1-10 scale: 8.5
Type: Fiction
Number of pages: 509
Time period: Fantasy
Main characters: Saphira, Eragon, Brom, and many others!
Exciting events: This book is an adventure too. :)
My overall opinion: I enjoyed it a lot! It was better than I expected it to be, though some parts could have been better. In other words, some parts sounded like a 15-year old boy wrote them. Which he did, but that's beside the point. Overall, a great read and I recommend it!
