Litfuse Blog Tour: Shattered

Author: Dani Pettrey

Genre: Adventure, suspense

Series: Alaskan Courage series

Number in series: 2nd (the first was Submerged, which I haven’t yet had the chance to read)

My rating on a 1-10 scale: 9

Type: Fiction

Number of pages: 364

Time period: Present

My overall opinion: I had a feeling I might like this book from the very beginning…definitely wasn’t disappointed. From the moment I saw that a bunch of authors I was familiar with had written the endorsements, I had a good feeling. Which authors, you ask? They included Dee Henderson (I’ve read a few, didn’t love, but good), Ronie Kendig (haven’t read any yet, but know by reputation), DiAnn Mills (great), Lynette Eason (a favorite!), and Irene Hannon (stunning and wonderful). The cover alone is amazing! The letters that spell out the cover are sunk in, and when you look at them, appear filled with ice. Super neat. This book can be read as a stand-alone (which is what I did), but is probably more enjoyable if you read the series in order. Shattered included a great suspenseful mystery, a mesmerizing setting (I heart Alaska), and delightful characters. You won’t guess all the plot turns in this mystery! Skillfully entwined romance complements the suspense beautifully. I definitely recommend this book for all Christian suspense readers!

**Litfuse Publicity Group supplied me with this book in exchange for my honest review. I was not required to post a positive review, nor was I paid in any way other than the book.**

Yay! Happy to see your review up today, Charity. :)

Great take on it - the setting is fabulous and makes me love Alaska as well as the characters who are truly memorable. And the cover? Yes, indeed it's gorgeous - more so in person! I second Rosie: You'll need to find Submerged... hopefully your library has it!?

Looking forward to Gage's story and cannot wait for Kayden who is the character I most relate too.

Rosie, IKR? Doing my best. :)

Rissi, thank you! After spending last summer in Alaska (and soon to be this one too!) I love it up there. And no, our library doesn't have it -- oh the joys of a smaller library. :P However, I just requested it and they're usually pretty good about getting everything I request -- which is saying something. ;) Can't wait for the other books!
