Movie: Thor

My rating on a 1-10 scale: 8.5
Genre: Fantasy, science fiction, adventure
Series or set: I think it may be technically part of the super-hero movies that the “publisher” is coming out with (they did Captain America too [which I haven’t seen]).
Primary actors: Chris Hemsworth
Length: About two hours
Based on: Very very very very very loosely on Greek gods. But not really.
Time period: Fantasy
Year it came out: 2011
My overall opinion: It was good. I admit, I liked it quite a bit. Not animated (as is obvious from the pictures). Well, mostly not animated. A little. J It was fun, it was stupid, and yes, I enjoyed it. One kiss between two people who couldn’t marry that was a little too long for my liking. (Umm, they lived in different solar systems, so that was the big problem) Other than that…yeah. :)

I like this movie a lot.
I also like the soundtrack, whch was composed by Patrick Doyle, who also compsosed the soundtrack for Sense and Sensibility(1995).

I have to say, I didn't like this movie. Sure, staring at Chris Hemsworth for 2 hours isn't exactly painful, but the whole thing felt disjointed to me. And the whole Thor/Jane thing was so rushed. It just didn't flow well.

Thank you! I haven't seen this yet, but Captain America movie is very good. I usually don't watch Super-hero movies, but I enjoyed it.

I watch some superhero movies with my brother and we always look for the ones that are just fun. This sounds like an interesting one so I'll have to check it out.

I have watched some of the X-Men movies. That has as much to do with my appreciation of Hugh Jackman as it has to do with my affinity for the comic books. But I did enjoy them. Perhaps I'll watch this one someday.

I haven't seen it, so I'm intrigued at the mention of Greek gods in a story/series named for a Norse God. Interesting.

I love this, "it was stupid, and yes, I enjoyed it." It's definitely good to enjoy a stupid movie sometimes.

I liked this movie, it's my little brother's new favorite. It did feel rushed though, the big battle wasn't all that big. I like though, how they made Asguard all science, not 'gods' if you take my meaning. I don't mean to pick, but it's actually based on Norse gods. :) Tony STark is still my favorite.

Ella, yes isn't that cool about the soundtrack?

Kate, lol. Yes, it was a little rushed. That's how these go sometimes. :P

Katelyn, my parents liked this better than "Captain America" but I haven't seen CA.

Miss Laurie, it is fun.

Andrea, yes, I think it must be Norse gods not Greek ones...my knowledge of Greek/Norse gods is far from extensive. I agree about stupid movies!

Mad Elvish Poet, I think I know what you mean. See comment to Andrea above. :)
