Movie: Emma

My rating on a 1-10 scale: 8.5
Genre: Romance, classic, life, and just a touch of humor
Primary actors: Kate Beckinsale, Mark Strong
Length: About two hours
Based on: Emma by Jane Austen
Time period: 1800’s
Year it came out: 1996
My overall opinion: I enjoyed it, mostly. I prefer, overall, the 2009 version with Romola Garai, but this could have been a lot worse. I should mention that the whole thing felt like it absolutely flew by…I’m used to four hours, not two. Jane Austen’s take time – this was too fast. I'm planning to do a character comparison for the three Emma's soon, so you'll have to wait until then to see what exactly all my thoughts were. However, I liked this one tolerably, overall.

Yeah, I also like the 2009 one best. But I did like this one a lot - the Emma is sweet.

I THINK I've seen this version; are there chicken thieves in this one?
